Itinerary
Leave from Delhi at 08:30 PM and reach Shimla next morning. After which, we’ll head out on an overnight journey to Shimla. The pick-up point would be RK Ashram or Majnu Ka Tila (tentative).
Check-ian to the hotel (Early check in is Subject to availability). Breakfast (Own Cost) and freshen up, In evening explore Shimla mall road. Dinner and Overnight Sleep in Shimla.
Drive through Kufri&Narkanda on the way to Kinnaur Valley. Reach Sangla / Chitkul by evening the last Indian village towards China Border, Dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early in the morning to experience one of the most beautiful sunrise, After breakfast head towards Chitkul – The most scenic settlements in the valley & the last inhabited village before the India – China border. Reach Kalpa by evening known as the winter adobe of Lord Shiva. Dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early morning & after breakfast start journey to Spiti Valley. During the journey, we’ll be covering Nako Village and Tabo Monastery. In evening Dhankar monastery – It is renowned for its 1200 years old monastery balanced precariously on a rocky precipice. Dinner & stay overnight under the gaze of a million stars in Dhankar.
After delicious breakfast, we drive to the charming and high villages of Dhankar. If energy permits, we do the easy 45 – minutes trek to the stunning turquoise colored Dhankar lake. En route, we’ll be visiting Kungri Monastery, Pin Valley, and Mud village. Evening drive to kaza, take dinner & overnight at hotel/campsite.
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and head for Spiti sightseeing day. Today we visit a world famous – Key Monastery followed by Chicham Bridge (Asia’s Highest Bridge). Later drive to Komik, hikkim situated at 4513m – world’s highest village connected by road and then moving on to langza. Finally, we’ll be visiting Langza (the most beautiful village in Spiti valley and has the famous Buddha statue and is known as the Fossil village due to the presence of the same in abundance). In the evening return back to Kaza, take dinner & sleep overnight.
Wake up early morning and after having breakfast & check-out. Depart for ChandraTaal lake. However, make one more stop at another Spitian wonder- Chandratal lake. The Chandratal lake is situated at the height of 14000 ft. The Chandra baga mountain range forms a striking backdrop for the lake, which changes appearance according to the pictures painted in the sky. Dinner and stay at the tents under the gaze of millions of stars and the milky way galaxy.
Today we commence our way back on Manali-Kaza road. We pass through some more stunning landscapes and cross the Rohtang pass or Atal tunnel and reach Manali by noon. Evening reach Manali and transfer to the Manali hotel.
Post-breakfast, the rest of the day is at leisure in Manali. The participants are advised to go for cafe hopping, shopping, local sightseeing, and more. After spending time in Manali, we board our Volvo back to Delhi with lifetime memories. Reach Delhi next morning, (Day 10) around 8:00am.
